ABOUT TASHA-MAE

Hi, I am Tasha-Mae.

Therapist, woman, and believer in your capacity to heal.
I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to need a safe space, and to not quite know where to find one. That experience shaped everything about how I work with my clients.
I work with women and teen girls who are carrying more than they let on. The ones who are capable and strong on the outside but exhausted on the inside. The ones who are finally ready to stop surviving and start living.
My approach is warm, direct, and grounded. I draw on trauma-informed practices and evidence-based modalities to meet you exactly where you are. I believe that healing is not linear, that your story matters, and that the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful tools we have. When we work together, you will not feel like a diagnosis or a case file. You will feel like a person, because that is exactly what you are.

My Approach

Healing Through Understanding

I specialize in working with women and teen girls who are navigating the intersections of trauma, identity, and relationships. My work is deeply informed by cultural humility, meaning I bring awareness of how race, culture, background, and lived experience shape the way we carry pain and the way we heal from it.

I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. What works for one woman may not work for another, and part of my role is helping you figure out what healing looks and feels like for you specifically. I will never rush your process or push you toward an outcome that does not feel true to who you are. I am also a Certified Mother-Daughter Relationship Coach, which means I bring a unique lens to the ways women are shaped by their earliest relationships, particularly the mother-daughter bond, and how healing that connection, whether the relationship is close, complicated, or somewhere in between, can be one of the most powerful things a woman does for herself.
